The Green Apple Awards 2012 for the Built Environment and Architectural Heritage is Open for Entries

The 16th Green Apple Awards 2012 for the Built Environment and Architectural Heritage launch on 9th November 2011.   

The Green Apple Awards are one of the most respected environmental award programmes in the world whose winners are recognised for their contribution to the built environment and architectural heritage.

The awards recognise and reward companies for all the steps they are making towards sustainability including design and construction, restoration and regeneration as well as product and service innovation.

Entry is FREE and open to any company in the building and construction sector including local authorities, housing associations, construction companies, architects, surveyors, restoration specialists, interior designers, property developers, traditional building crafts, products suppliers, property services and consultants.

The judges are looking for environmental benefits, social benefits, financial benefits, visual/aesthetic impact, energy efficiency, waste reduction, recycling, architectural heritage, traditional crafts and skills, minimising environmental disruption, innovation and transferability.

Winners receive a free ticket to the prestigious London prize-giving celebration with the highest scorers in each sector named as Green Champions with the top entry chosen as Champion of Champions.

Deadline for entry is 29 February 2012.
